About

No matter what your aspirations or plans are after graduating from high school,

the Music Academy provides the instructional and educational tools needed to get our students ready for the next phase of their lives.

Our students complete their high school education not just with a diploma, but also with a certificate in their area of specialization, expanding their post-secondary options. Additionally, we have a successful agreement with Salem Community College that enables our students to obtain free college credits without ever leaving the Pennsville Memorial High School campus!

Each student is fully enrolled through Pennsville Memorial High School and will experience their entire high school career on this campus.

Below you can find a few components of a Music Academy Student's daily life.

Advanced Music Classes

There are four levels of Advanced Music Classes, including Music Theory Level I, Level II, AP/Level III, and Level IV (Composition).

Large Ensemble Rehearsals

Students will have time to participate in one or more large ensembles, including Band, Choir, and/or Orchestra.

Learn to Play Piano

Students will have the chance to learn and practice their piano skills throughout the school year in their Advanced Music Classes.

Private Lessons

Studio Classes

All Music Academy Students will gather once a month to perform for each other, practice performance/audition skills, or discuss any techniques that will benefit them as musicians.

Students will meet twice a month for a private lesson on their primary instrument. Here they will learn various skills and techniques, as well as many pieces for performance or audition opportunities.
